THE friend of a mom accused of shooting her two sons dead has shared a glimpse into the parent’s unpredictable nature, claiming she would “flip a switch” when “mad.”

Tiffanie Lucas, 32, is due to appear in court on Tuesday, after neighbors found her two small boys covered in blood at the family’s home last week.

Maurice, six, and Jayden, nine, were rushed to the hospital after the horror discovery at the property in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, on November 8.

The boys died from their injuries soon after, with mom Lucas reportedly found collapsed on the front lawn.

Lucas was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and stood emotionless in court where she appeared via video link the following day.

Family friend Talia Crutcher has since spoken out about her pal’s behavior, claiming “everything was good” leading up to the tragedy.

“I was very confused and shocked and I just couldn’t believe it like we were literally just together and everything was good,” she told NBC affiliate Wave3.

She also expressed that while Lucas appeared to treat the boys wonderfully, she suspected they saw a darker side of her as well.

“She’s very, she goes off very fast, very fast,” she said.

“Like she’ll get mad and flip a switch … And I hate that for the boys because they probably got the firsthand of everything you know and saw everything.”

A week before the tragic deaths, Lucas posted sweet photos on Facebook of the three in Halloween costumes while out trick or treating on October 31.

“Happy Halloween from us to you!” she wrote, using the name Celine Tiffanie Ann on the social media platform.

“May the force be with you…” she added with emojis.

On May 27, she captioned a photo of herself with her two sons: “My lifeline, my heartbeat, my everything!”

Weeks before that, Lucas wrote on her Facebook page that “everyday is Mother’s Day in my world.”

“I don’t think I would know how to smile, love, or survive if it wasn’t for them,” Lucas wrote of her two young sons.

“Even on our bad days they shower me with an abundance of love! Always together never apart, 3 souls 1 heart!”

In another heartbreaking post from July 29, 2022, Lucas wrote: “My sons won’t doubt their mom ever in life… #breakinggenerationalcurses.”

It’s hard to believe that such an outwardly loving mother would end up killing her children, but it turns out the warning signs were there.

According to documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Lucas has a chequered past with previous interactions with the police.

There have been three criminal court filings against Lucas in the state of Kentucky, according to the report.

While no dates are given and the offenses have not been provided by the source, the three filings are all labeled as criminal.

Meanwhile, the documents state that in 2014 and 2018 there were disputes between Lucas and her landlords at the time.

Authorities confirmed that the mother has previously been in prison due to a drug possession conviction, according to The Daily Beast.

Durrell Howard, Jayden’s older brother told local news that the boys’ biological families had called child protective services on Lucas multiple times before; it is unclear how CPS responded in these instances.

“If it came to me snatching the boys out of the house, I should have and I will hold that on my back for the rest of my life. For both them boys,” Howard told WLKY.

After neighbors heard gunshots on Wednesday, police responded to find the two boys lying on a bed, bleeding out next to a gun.

Lucas was reportedly collapsed in the front yard at this time.

On Thursday, a judge declared her a danger to others and set her bond at $2 million.

She is set to appear again in court on Tuesday.

Those with any information about the shooting were asked to contact the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office at 502-543-7074.

A COMMUNITY ‘SCARRED’

Following the tragic deaths of Jayden and Maurice, their community has been vocal about the emotional toll it has taken.

Asked what he would say to her, Jayden’s older brother Durrell Howard told CBS affiliate WLKY: “You scarred everybody with this one.”

“You scarred everybody.”

Crutcher said that her children are devastated by their friends’ murder.

“My daughter was mad. They were both mad and we went out to eat and that’s when it hit my son. He was trying to say something about Jayden and he couldn’t event talk,” Crutcher explained.

“And he was trying hard, very hard and it took him a while and he had to write it down and he still was upset. He busted out crying and that was the first time I’ve really seen him cry.”

“It has shaken my whole family. Who would ever think that you would have to worry about a six-year-old, and a nine-year-old losing they life the way that they did,” Bobbie Baker, Maurice’s biological aunt, said.

“My brother is never going to be the same. This community is never going to be the same and Jayden’s family is never going to be the same,” she cried.

On Monday, around 200 people gathered at Little Flock Baptist Church to honor the boys and grieve the loss of the two young community members.

"She’s [Lucas] very, she goes off very fast, very fast. Like she’ll get mad and flip a switch ... And I hate that for the boys because they probably got the firsthand of everything you know and saw everything," explained one family friend
