President Trump on Sunday revealed a new detail about the hyped UFC fight set to take place on the South Lawn of the White House: It’ll occur on June 14, which is also his 80th birthday.

In remarks in Norfolk, Va., at a celebration of the Navy’s 250th anniversary, the president reveled in the major events happening in the U.S. during his second term — America’s 250th birthday, the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics.

“And on June 14, next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right at the White House on the grounds,” he said, without mentioning that date is also a milestone day for him.

The Hill has reached out to the White House to confirm.

UFC fighter Conor McGregor said Wednesday he would fight in the match-up.

Last month, the White House confirmed to The Hill that the event would include fireworks and light shows, fighter weigh-ins at the Lincoln Memorial and fan activities spread across the National Mall.

The UFC’s octagon cage will be erected on the White House south lawn to host the match, which Trump first teased in July.

Dana White, the UFC chief executive and a longtime friend and donor of Trump, said in August that the fight was coming together.

“The White House fight is on,” UFC CEO Dana White said in an Instagram live video on Aug. 28. “We got it done today.”

“This will be one of the greatest and most historic sports events in history, and President Trump hosting it at the White House is a testament to his vision to celebrate America’s monumental 250th anniversary,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told the Wall Street Journal last month.
