Donald Trump is lashing out at Fox News yet again on Sunday, this time to criticize his once-favorite network for hosting an interview with Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green.

The veteran lawmaker joined Fox News Live on Sunday to discuss his party’s midterm strategy, and was particularly pressed on Democrats’ answers to rising crime and the high cost of living.

But Trump took issue with the media giant inviting Green at all – and suggested that no ‘Conservative’ outlets should be giving Democrats a platform.

‘Why would Fox News have SleazeBall Congressman Al Green on to spew his stupidity?’ the ex-president wrote on his Truth Social platform.

‘It’s time to get back to basics. Let him, and other Slime like him, continue to ruin MSDNC & CNN, which are dying.’

‘MSDNC’ has been Trump’s favorite monicker for left-wing network MSNBC.

‘Keep them off Conservative Media, if that’s an accurate definition of what Fox has become?’ he finished.

It’s not clear why Trump targeted Green – a member of the House Financial Services Committee, Homeland Security Committee and Congressional Black Caucus – specifically.

He was not the only Democrat appearing on the network today – Senator Chris Coons also joined Fox News Sunday before Green’s interview.

The animosity could stem from Green’s three impeachment attempts of Trump while the former president was still in office.

Green was the first House Democrat to endorse the idea of impeaching him, introducing the articles in 2017 when Republicans still controlled the chamber.

All three of his efforts failed.

During his Sunday interview, Green only mentioned Trump once, when disputing Republican accusations that Democrat-run areas have higher crime rates.

‘According to statistical information in 2020, the per capita murder rates were 40 percent higher instates won by Donald Trump than those won by Joe Biden,’ the lawmaker said.

Fox News’ Sunday daytime content is generally more objective than its evening opinion programming, and it’s common for those shows to have at least one Democratic lawmaker or pundit.

But this Sunday’s attack is not the first time Trump rebuked the network over its weekend daytime coverage.

‘Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day,’ he wrote on Truth Social on Sunday, September 4.

‘So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed.’

In late June, Trump criticized the network’s flagship morning show, Fox & Friends, for discussing polls that show Florida Governor Ron DeSantis overtaking him in a potential 2024 vote while covering another survey where Trump himself came out on top.

‘That show has been terrible — gone to the ‘dark side,” Trump wrote on Truth Social at the time.

‘They quickly quote the big Turning Point Poll victory of almost 60 points over the number two Republican, and then hammer me with outliers,’ he added, refusing to use DeSantis’ name.

Despite the network’s hesitance to criticize Trump outright, CNN reported in August that Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch, son of media empire founder Rupert Murdoch, openly disparaged the former president internally.

Murdoch reportedly even said another Trump campaign would be bad for the United States.
