DONALD Trump is reportedly set to visit the UK “in weeks” with plans for the president to visit his golf courses being drawn up.

It is said that Trump is likely to arrive in Scotland at the end of July or the beginning of August, according to Sky News.

Police Scotland confirmed to the outlet that it was preparing for a “potential visit later this month”.

Security and policing insiders have said meetings are ongoing this week with the possibility of up to 5,000 officers being required to work 12-hour shifts.

But it is understood a final date is yet to be confirmed due to the president’s fluid diary.

Trump bought the Scottish Turnberry course in 2014 and it costs a whopping £1,000 per round of golf.

Now known as “Trump Turnberry”, it is recognised as one of the best golf resorts in the world.
