President Donald Trump finally waded into the tight Gubernatorial race in Virginia, calling Republican Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears “excellent,” and slamming her Democrat opponent, Abigail Spanberger, for her radical fight to keep men in women’s sports and locker rooms.

Apparently, President Trump has heard the cries from people like RedState’s Teri Christoph to endorse Sears and he finally praised Sears on Friday, when Trump was speaking to the press from the Oval Office. The clip was shared by the Virginia GOP social media account.

“The Republican Party has taken in millions of people, and the Democrat Party has lost millions of people,” Trump said. “They’ve gone crazy, honestly. I think they are crazy. What’s happened to them. They suffer major Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s turned out to actually be a disease. But it’s a disease of weak people and stupid people.”

“Their polices are terrible,” he added. “I see today, it’s a big debate again. The women, they don’t want men playing in their sports. The Democrats want men to play in women’s sports.”

Trump then brought up the race in Virginia, calling the Republican candidate Sears “excellent,” before he blasted Spanberger.

She is “so much into men being able to use women’s bathrooms. Okay, what’s that? Men playing in women’s sports, [and] wants open borders,” Trump continued. “Again, what’s that all about? After what we’ve gone through…”

Shortly after the clip surfaced, Sears reposted the video and thanked President Trump.

“Thank you, President Trump,” the Republican candidate’s post read. “Abigail Spanberger supports girls sharing locker rooms with naked men and turning Virginia into a sanctuary for violent criminals. We must defeat her radical insanity and protect our Commonwealth.”

Things appear to have turned a bit in Winsom Sears’ favor, with polls tightening after a “racist granny” moment, as RedState’s Teri Christoph reported.

As RedState has reported, the polls have tightened between the two in recent weeks, with Earle-Sears surging thanks to a lot of hard work and perseverance from the candidate and her campaign, and also to a racist sign that was displayed as Earle-Sears was set to speak at an Arlington County School Board meeting earlier this month in support of protecting women’s safe spaces.

The sign, carried by yet another woke liberal white woman and apparent Spanberger campaign volunteer, read “Hey Winsome, if trans can’t share your bathroom, then blacks can’t share my water fountain.” While Spanberger begrudgingly issued a boilerplate condemnation in the aftermath, some Virginia Democrat Party officials actually tried to blame Earle-Sears for the sign.

Sears previously reacted to the racist sign, calling out Spanberger for refusing to condone it.
