On January 20, 2026, President Donald Trump celebrated the first anniversary of his second term. Despite criticism from the left, his administration proudly highlighted a list of 365 achievements, underscoring their rapid work over the past year.
Topping this list is the prioritization of American citizens by enhancing border security and initiating deportations—key promises from Trump’s campaign that even his harshest critics acknowledge he delivered on.
The administration reported over 650,000 arrests, detentions, and deportations of undocumented immigrants, which included serious offenders such as murderers, rapists, gang members, and repeat lawbreakers. Additionally, they claimed a 56% reduction in fentanyl smuggling at the southern border, a notable milestone in their efforts to combat drug trafficking.
“Carried out over 650,000 arrests, detentions, and deportations of illegal aliens — including the worst of the worst criminal illegal alien killers, rapists, gang members, and repeat offenders,” they noted in their announcement. “Cut fentanyl trafficking at the southern border by 56%,” they also shared, a hugely important accomplishment.
