UFC middleweight fighter Sean Strickland found himself in an unexpected situation on Sunday when he was escorted out of a UFC fan fest event near the White House by the U.S. Secret Service.
In a post on X, Strickland posted a photo of himself surrounded by Secret Service officials.
“Best fans in the world!” Strickland shared in a social media post, expressing his appreciation despite the incident.
UFC President Dana White later clarified the situation, stating that Strickland was not actually banned from the event. Instead, he mentioned that Strickland “wasn’t invited” to attend a UFC fight at the White House.
Following the incident, Strickland humorously commented, “Alright guys, I may have been charged with disorderly conduct — I don’t know what that is, but it sounds cool.” He conveyed his gratitude to fans for their support, noting that it “means a lot” to him after rumors of his “ban” circulated.
