Just when you thought the United Kingdom couldn’t decline any faster, it has somehow managed to make things even worse. The left-wing ruling class, led by Keir Starmer, has announced that the voting age is being lowered to 16 years old for the next general election.
Take a wild guess why this is happening.

The pledge is part of a raft of measures being introduced through a new Elections Bill.
Other changes include expanding forms of voter ID to include UK-issued bank cards, moving towards automatic voter registration and tightening rules on political donations to protect against foreign interference.
Democrats in the United States have tried to propose this with no luck, likely because it’s one of the most moronic political ideas on the planet. There’s enough research out there about the brain development of 16 and 17-year-olds to know they are not intellectually or emotionally mature enough to steer the direction of a nation. That’s also true of 18 to 25-year-olds, but that’s a more complicated issue given they can join the military and are treated as adults by the legal system.
But put that aside because we all know that’s not why the Labour Party is doing this. This isn’t about “expanding democracy,” increasing representation among a greatly productive demographic. They are doing it because they think it will win them more votes. That’s especially true given how much the UK’s ever-increasing (and young) Muslim population supports Labour. This is a naked power grab meant to save a political party that is currently deeply unpopular due to its disastrous reign of governance.
