UKRAINE is ready to sign up to an immediate 30-day ceasefire deal, with the US declaring: “The ball is now in Russia’s court”.

The proposal, agreed after eight hours of talks, will now be put to the Kremlin — as it was revealed US intelligence sharing and security assistance with Kyiv will resume.

The breakthrough came after Kyiv launched their largest drone attack to date on Russia.

Around 350 blitzed Moscow, killing three and injuring 18, including three children.

Russia retaliated with strikes on Ukrainian city Odesa.

The ceasefire deal will have to be accepted and implemented by Russia and its tyrant leader Vladimir Putin.

It came after talks between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Ukrainian and Saudi Arabian officials in the Middle East kingdom yesterday

Afterwards, Mr Rubio said: “We’re going to tell them this is what’s on the table, Ukraine is ready to stop shooting and start talking, and now it’ll be up to them to say yes or no.”

He added that the only way to end the war is to negotiate rather than through a military solution.

Mr Rubio added: “This is not Mean Girls, this is not some episode of some television show, this is serious. Today, people will die in this war. They died yesterday and sadly they’ll die tomorrow.

“President Trump wants this to stop. That’s why we came here.”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, who met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his trip, said: “We consider it positive and we are ready to take this step.

“Ukraine is ready for peace. Russia must show whether it is ready to stop the war or continue it. The time has come for the full truth.”

Sir Keir Starmer congratulated Donald Trump and Mr Zelensky for the “remarkable breakthrough” and said he hopes to “bring an end to this war in a just and permanent way that allows Ukraine to enjoy its freedom”.
