'Berserkeley': Antifa Thugs Violently Attack Attendees at TPUSA's 'This Is Turning Point' Tour

On Monday evening, the University of California, Berkeley hosted the final installment of Turning Point USA’s newly branded “This Is Turning Point” tour. The event, held at Zellerbach Hall, featured comedian Rob Schneider and Christian apologist Dr. Frank Turek as keynote speakers, and attracted a full house.

Despite facing threats, attempted intimidation, and a planned protest, the event achieved a successful turnout. In the hours leading up to the gathering, activists from Antifa mobilized to disrupt proceedings, aiming to create confusion and deter attendees.

Protesters reportedly employed flares, smoke bombs, and hurled broken glass, among other hazardous items, at those attending the event. The unrest was exposed as being premeditated by independent journalist Andy Ngo and another citizen journalist, both of whom revealed that the chaos was orchestrated weeks in advance by an Antifa offshoot known as By Any Means Necessary.

A bloody fight broke out near the University of California, Berkeley, on Monday afternoon, ahead of a Turning Point USA event on campus.

The event, which will feature Dr. Frank Turek and Rob Schneider, marks the end of the “This Is The Turning Point” tour.

It takes place just two months after TPUSA’s founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated at a campus event in Utah on Sept. 10.

The confrontation erupted at around 4:30 PST. During the brawl, two men were seen fighting each other, one of whom had blood gushing from his face.

Antifa brought flares, smoke bombs, broken glass and other dangerous parephenalia to throw at the attendees.

Independent journalist Andy Ngo and another citizen journalist exposed that this unrest was all planned and coordinated weeks in advance through an Antifa offshoot, By Any Means Necessary.

Despite the evil enacted by Antifa and bureaucratic snafus caused by the school administration, the tide is clearly turning. For years, Antifa and other groups have been threatening violence over conservative speakers coming to UC Berkeley. In 2017, media personality and author Ann Coulter canceled a scheduled speech when detractors threatened violence. That same year, Daily Wire founder, podcaster and author Ben Shapiro was able to deliver his speech, but with ramped up security.

This happened to fellow attendees too. It made no sense, and no one could give a straight answer.

Outside, protesters screamed, vandalized, threw paint, and multiple people were arrested. Glass bottles/cups were launched at attendees. This was not “peaceful protest.” It was intimidation. I have never seen anything like it before.

Through all of it, @TPUSA president, @johnpaulleon27, stayed calm and professional. He pushed through bureaucratic resistance and delivered a strong speech, even when the university administration made it as difficult as possible until minutes before.

Tonight proved something simple: You don’t have to agree with us. You don’t have to like what we say. But shutting down speech, blocking access, attacking attendees, and using this kind of “power” to silence students is not democracy. It’s censorship with a smile.

We showed up. We stood firm. We exercised the First Amendment in a place that claims to celebrate free expression. The irony writes itself.

As @RobSchneider best put it, “Shame on you, @UCBerkeley.”

If You Missed Ben Shapiro’s Watershed Speech, Look No Further

But Antifa’s presence, protests, and ugliness, including cursing, slurs, and making threatening gestures toward the participants did not intimidate or discourage attendees.

Schneider revved up the crowd, encouraging them to hold the line on free speech and debate.

WATCH:

While Dr. Turek spoke to the nature of free will, the battle between good and evil, and the place of suffering in the human experience.

WATCH:

When the event wrapped, the Antifa goons were still out in force, railing at attendees as they exited the event, and even attempting to attack them.

As TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said, “We must win, they must lose.” At Berkeley, tonight was a win.
