Ossoff, speaking at a Town Hall event in Atlanta Friday morning, said he agrees with the woman multiple times but cautioned that in the current political environment, Republicans’ control of the House of Representatives hinders such extreme action.

The one-term Senator is considered the most vulnerable Democrat running in 2026 due to the political landscape and President Trump’s 2024 victory in Georgia.

“You keep saying that there isn’t a magic button, and I recognize that you’re a senator and not in the House, and everything that Trump is doing is leading us down an authoritative [sic] rule,” the woman began. “Why are there no calls for impeachment?”

“This is unacceptable,” she continued, voice rising in intensity. “I will not live in an authoritative country, and neither will any of these people. You can do more. Think outside the box. He needs to be impeached.”

The clearly distraught voter went on to say she “will not live like this” and demanded Ossoff “do something more.”

“I like you and I will vote for you if you are brave and you do what we need,” she concluded. “We need him impeached! We need him removed!”

Yeah, because impeachment constitutes thinking outside the box and would be a super-brave move. Nobody has ever thought of trying to do that before.

Rather than dismissing the notion out of hand or pivoting like most politicians would, Ossoff offered full-throated approval for the idea, even offering examples of alleged impeachable offenses and providing a roadmap by explaining that the first step is for Democrats to take back the House.
