In Ohio this past Thursday, a high-profile delegation of federal and state officials convened to tackle the pressing issue of fraud within the state. The group included Vice President JD Vance, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Vice Chairman of the White House Task Force Andrew Ferguson, among other prominent figures. Their focus was on unveiling strategies to combat fraudulent activities that have plagued Ohio. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., the newly formed House Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses conducted its inaugural hearing. The central topic was the staggering $1.2 billion fraud case within Ohio’s Medicaid home-health program, as highlighted by my colleague Ben Smith.

Vice President Vance, who chairs the Fraud Task Force, is keen on ensuring states are held responsible for misconduct that undermines public trust and harms citizens. His commitment to rooting out fraud has been evident since the Task Force’s establishment. It has successfully recovered billions for Americans and initiated legal action against both domestic and international fraudsters. Initially focused on Minnesota and California, the Task Force is swiftly extending its reach to other states where misuse of government resources is rampant, all to safeguard the interests of taxpayers.

FBI Director Kash Patel, during his address, highlighted a significant effort led by Vice President Vance within the Task Force. In an illustrative move, he directed attention to the FBI website, where detailed information was made available about ten major fraudsters currently being targeted by the agency. This initiative underscores the administration’s dedication to transparency and accountability in their fight against fraud.

When FBI Director Patel took to the podium, he announced another way the VP has made his mark on the Task Force.

WATCH:

It is indeed live on the FBI website, with great detail on the 10 professional fraudsters whom Patel and the agency are looking to take down.
