“We have units on the scene of a stabbing incident involving multiple victims,” police confirmed to The U.S. Sun.

The amount of victims injured is still unknown, but several people were reportedly taken to the hospital, according to local ABC affiliate WJLA.

Police said they have one person in custody as of 4:15 pm.

A post on X by the Metropolitan Police Department alerted followers of a “stabbing investigation” that’s taking place Montello Avenue and Simms Place NE.

The department wrote in a follow-up post that a press conference will occur soon.

All of the victims are adults, with no juveniles having gotten injured.

Live footage from the crime scene shows caution tape lining the street with police officers crowding the area.

Onlookers can be seen standing around the scene.
