Watch: Utah Gov's Remarks Drive a Further Nail Into Left's Narrative About Accused Kirk Assassin

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox hit the Sunday talk shows to share information about developments in the Charlie Kirk assassination case. And what he said about the suspect, Tyler Robinson, completely implodes the narrative that some on the left have been trying to push.

CNN’s Dana Bash asked Gov. Cox about his prior comment that Robinson was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.” Cox confirmed it and expanded on it, adding that information had been obtained through questioning Robinson’s friends and family.

Cox noted they would be releasing more evidence and information when Robinson is officially charged on Tuesday. He said they were interviewing the people around him to gather more and determine the motive.

Cox also confirmed the reports that Robinson’s roommate was, in fact, a “romantic partner.” Cox said the roommate was a male “transitioning to a female.” He said the roommate had been very cooperative, “was working with investigators,” and said he had no idea that this was going to happen.

Dana Bash didn’t look like a happy camper after what Spencer Cox had to say. She pressed for more specifics. Cox explained he didn’t have a “dog in this fight” and if the person were MAGA, he would reveal that as well. But that wasn’t the case — that these were the facts he was getting.

Cox also explained to ABC’s Martha Raddatz on her show that Robinson had “not confessed,” and was “not cooperating.” However, “all the people around him were cooperating,” including the roommate/boyfriend, which he welcomed. Cox confirmed to Raddatz as well that the relationship was romantic and said the roommate was “transitioning.”

That pretty much does in the narrative that the left was pushing that somehow Robinson was MAGA/right-wing. It never made much sense anyway, and they had no evidence, just a lot of desperate spinning. They’re not going to take this well and will likely come up with some other spin.

Instead of doing that, they should look in the mirror and renounce all the divisive rhetoric.
