If the Democrat Party was hoping the Jay Jones scandal would die down over the weekend, well, that would have been quite delusional of them. Not only has the story reached the White House, with Vice President JD Vance calling on Jones to drop out of the race, but Jones’ demonic words have echoed across social media, with Elon Musk calling the Democrat “evil.”

Just to quickly recap, Jones is the Democrat candidate for attorney general in Virginia; he is a former state delegate who is challenging Republican incumbent Jason Miyares to be the top law enforcement official in the commonwealth. We learned last week that Jones was once clocked going 116 MPH on a state highway, and “served” much of his community service sentence by working for his own PAC.

Then the big bombshell dropped Friday when text messages Jones sent to a former Republican colleague revealed he harbored fantasies of murdering then-Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates, Todd Gilbert, and Gilbert’s entire family, including his two young sons. In true Democrat fashion, Jones released an initial statement basically blaming Miyares for engaging in political smears; he followed that up with another statement saying he was “embarrassed, ashamed, and sorry” for his heinous words. 

Amazing stuff. 

Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican candidate for governor, is doing her part to keep Jones’ vile sentiments—which jarringly match the venomous “Let your rage fuel you!” messaging of Earle-Sears’ Democrat opponent, Abigail Spanberger—front and center in the political world by dropping a brutal new ad.

The ad rightly ties the violent rhetoric of Spanberger and Jones together, showing the extent to which the left has gone to dehumanize their political opponents and stoke anger amongst their followers. And we know from recent events that sometimes their foot soldiers act on that kind of rhetoric.

We used to say that abortion was the only thing the Democrats had; sadly, things have devolved to the point where ginning up fear, anger, and violence now seem to be the only thing they have.

On Saturday evening, Earle-Sears held a press conference in which she called for Jones to drop out of the AG race (the full video of her remarks are at the bottom of this article). “Jay Jones is the poster child for the Democrat establishment and he fantasizes about murdered little children laying lifeless in their mother’s arms,” Earle-Sears said at the presser.

She also called out Spanberger for encouraging political rage. 

My opponent Abigail Spanberger urges, often, for her supporters to fill their hearts with violent hate. “Let your rage fuel you,” she says. “Let your rage fuel you.” Words have meaning.”

After calling on Jones to drop out immediately, Earle-Sears also called out Spanberger for her apparent support of Jones remaining on the Democrat ticket; while Spanberger has condemned Jones’ vile words, she hasn’t called for him to drop out. Said Earle-Sears, “Let me be clear: Spanberger’s continuing support for Jay Jones is disqualifying for higher office. She and her party’s irresponsible behavior have brought us to this point.”
