(NEXSTAR) — The unofficial start of summer, Memorial Day, is upon us, potentially lining you up for a three-day weekend of parades, fireworks, cookouts, and more. Should you need some sunscreen, a forgotten lunch menu item, or a snack for the road, many stores and restaurants will be open.

Others, however, will also be enjoying a day off.

Banks and post offices will, as usual, be closed for Memorial Day, which falls on May 26 this year.

Warehouse retailer Costco and chicken fast food chain Raising Cane’s are closing their doors for the holiday as well.

Some businesses are staying open but with shortened hours that may vary by location. That includes ALDI, Sam’s Club, PetSmart, and REI.

Below is a list of stores that will be operating with regular hours on Memorial Day. It’s worth noting, though, that some services — like pharmacies, eye care centers, automotive centers, and photo centers — may not be available, or operate under shortened hours. It’s best to call ahead or check a business’s app or website to confirm your local hours.

  • Best Buy
  • Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops
  • CVS
  • Dollar General
  • Dollar Tree
  • Home Depot
  • Home Goods
  • Homesense
  • Kroger’s family of stores
  • Macy’s
  • Marshalls
  • Petco
  • Sierra
  • Target
  • TJ Maxx
  • Trader Joe’s
  • Walgreens
  • Walmart
  • Wegmans
  • Whole Foods

Like the retailers listed above, most fast-food restaurants will be open for the holiday. They may have different hours than usual, so it’s best to confirm whether your location is open before visiting.

  • Chick-fil-A
  • Chipotle
  • Denny’s
  • Domino’s
  • Dunkin
  • IHOP
  • Jersey Mike’s
  • Noodles
  • Olive Garden
  • Panera Bread
  • Pizza Hut
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House
  • Starbucks
  • Taco Bell
  • Waffle House
  • Wendy’s

Most gas station and convenience stores will also be open for the holiday.

Restaurants located within office buildings, malls, or stores that are closed for Memorial Day will, most likely, also be closed. And, because many are locally owned, there may be some locations that have shortened hours or don’t open at all on Memorial Day.

In addition to no mail, you may not receive any packages on Memorial Day, either. UPS, Amazon, and FedEx observe the holiday, meaning you likely won’t receive any packages (though some specific services may still be available).

The next major holiday that could alter business hours is Independence Day on July 4.
