A FATAL car crash claimed the lives of four Pepperdine University students in October 2023.

Police have since arrested and charged a suspect with manslaughter in connection with the case.

Who is Fraser Michael Bohm?

Fraser Michael Bohm is a 22-year-old man from Malibu, California.

He was involved in the deadly crash, but only suffered minor scratches and bruises, according to My News LA.

At this time, additional details on Bohm’s personal life are unclear.

What is Fraser Michael Bohm accused of?

Bohm is facing manslaughter charges in connection with the death of the four students.

Authorities said he lost control of his BMW, sideswiped several parked vehicles, and crashed into the group as a result of speeding.

The area of the crash has since been described by local residents as “Dead Man’s Curve” because of the high amount of accidents.

“Every six months there’s another accident,” a woman who lives in the area told KTLA.

“There was one three months ago, there was one four months ago, and they are all within these five to six houses.”

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions, according to KTLA.

Bohm was taken into custody following the crash and has since been released, pending investigation.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said that a DUI investigation is still pending.

Who were the Pepperdine University students killed?

The Pepperdine University students who were killed in the crash have since been identified as Niamh Rolston, Peyton Steward, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams.

Rolston, a business major who was 20 years old, was just one month away from celebrating her 21st birthday, her family said.

“No day is more devastating to a tightly knit university community than the day that forces us to come together in grief and sorrow,” Pepperdine President Jim Gash said in a statement.

“One of the greatest mysteries of life is when and why our time on this earth is cut short. In such times, we hold firm to our faith in the God who sustains and nourishes us even when -and especially when- we experience life’s most significant losses.”

Pepperdine University is located roughly four miles from where the crash occurred.
