Being at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest More Important than Any Concert I've Performed, Because Charlie Kirk's Organization 'Is a Direct Link Between Young People and God'

Rap icon Nicki Minaj recently expressed that addressing the audience at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest was more significant to her than any concert she has performed globally. She emphasized the importance of the event, describing Charlie Kirk’s organization as a vital connection between young people and their faith.

“I’ve toured the world and performed for massive audiences, but no performance has meant as much as this opportunity,” Minaj shared. “This gathering serves as a direct link between young individuals and God.”

While speaking at the 2025 AmericaFest organized by Turning Point USA, Minaj highlighted what she perceives as a diminishing presence of God in both the media and everyday dialogue.

“Interestingly, Christians face a variety of persecutions right here in our own country,” she remarked. “When we discuss issues in Nigeria and other nations, it’s crucial to recognize that past administrations turned a blind eye to these matters.”

Minaj concluded by stating, “And that indifference was the real problem.”

“I truly feel that there are people out there who felt good about chastising Christians right here in our country,” the “Anaconda” singer continued, calling it “really sick.”

“We can’t let people like that be in power,” Minaj said, eliciting a thunderous applause from AmericaFest attendees.

The “Starships” singer reiterated her sentiments, declaring, “We absolutely cannot let people who have a problem with us worshiping God… we cannot have them in power.”

“All you have to do is look at what is happening in other places in the world, look at what is being done to Christians all around the world, and ask yourself why people in this country that were in positions of power felt so comfortable top try to take our voices from us,” Minaj added.

“They are that afraid, they are that intimidated, they are that insecure, they are that small inside that hearing and seeing us worship God irritated them. Our spirit irritates them,” the rap star declared.

“When the truth walks in the room, the lies hide. They don’t come out willingly, you gotta pry it out of them,” Minaj continued. “They hide, because they don’t want you or anyone to know who they really are behind closed doors.”

“Because even they know how evil it is to try to deprive people of worshiping God,” she added.

Elsewhere during her appearance, Minaj praised President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, saying they make her “feel proud to be American,” adding, “This administration is full of people with heart and soul.”

She also slammed California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), proclaiming, “Dear Newscum, we don’t have a problem cleaning up the scum if we have to.”

Turning Point USA surprised its tens of thousands of AmericaFest attendees on Sunday by closing out its event with Minaj, who has been increasingly outspoken about political issues in recent months.

Last month, the rap superstar praised President Trump for intervening and taking the “mass slaughter” of Christians in Nigeria by radical Islamists “seriously.”

A source familiar with the planning logistics of Turning Point USA’s 2025 AmericaFest told Breitbart News that arrangements for Minaj to attend the event transpired after Charlie Kirk’s September 10 assassination.

Minaj’s decision to speak at the conference after Kirk’s horrific murder underscores how his assassination has inspired figures outside traditional conservative circles — who might otherwise remain silent — to speak out more boldly about their beliefs, honoring the free speech martyr who lost his life while engaging in open dialogue.

Turning Point USA’s annual end-of-the year conference — the organization’s first AmericaFest since the horrific assassination of its founder — attracted over 30,000 attendees, making this year’s event the largest in Turning Point USA history.
