Schweizer emphasizes the importance of exclusive allegiance to the United States for its citizens. He stated, “If you are going to be a citizen of the United States, we want your whole commitment to our country. We just don’t want part of it.” He argues that prohibiting dual citizenship is crucial, noting that historically, the U.S. has not permitted it.
