MULTIPLE people have been injured and at least one person has died in a mass shooting in Florida, according to reports.
At least 15 partygoers celebrating Halloween in the Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa have reportedly been shot.
Footage shared on social media shows people fleeing the scene as a barrage of gunshots could be heard.
People at the scene have reported hearing between 30 and 40 shots.
DJ Brian Dawe who had just finished his set before the incident took place reportedly witnessed part of the attack.
“Finished my DJ set and as I was about to step out the door there was a shooter who unloaded at least 2 clips, probably 30-40 shots,” he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I saw 7 or so hit, at least 1 dead, and one getting chest compressions, he was more than likely gone also. Stay safe.”
Another X user replied: “Me and my friends were there. Happens so fast, it takes some seconds to understand what’s happening.

“We are ok at home now. Sad and angry and shocked.
“Such a cowardly act to open fire at innocent people. We hope the best for those injured.”
Meanwhile, a Reddit user shared a screenshot of a community app informing locals of the latest news in the area.
One notification read: “Check on your family. Shots fired in Ybor at least 15 shot.
“It’s a blood bath out there.”
Screams could be heard as people desperately fled the scene in footage shared on social media by partygoer.
“My roomie recorded this. We were in Ybor, enjoying our Halloweekend when there were shots fired,” the X user wrote.
“I almost was trampled trying to seek shelter and my roommate was forced to hide as best as they could outside.
“Thankfully we are safe but I’m just… so tired of this being a reality.”
