Dele Momodu, a seasoned journalist and publisher, issued a scathing retort to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. This came after Wike stated in a media chat that he and Momodu were never friends and the media personality had never influenced any votes.
In a strongly worded rebuttal shared via his social media account, Momodu questioned Wike’s character and took aim at his alleged lifestyle, stating, “I can confirm that too much alcohol can do two things, dull the memory and get people emaciated.”
The statement escalated into a full-blown attack as Momodu compared electoral losses and personal conduct: “On elections, there’s no difference between the man who wasted billions on seeking power and still lost and the one who spent nothing and got nothing. They are both losers.”
He added, “The difference here is one is an uncouth and uncultured local champion called ‘money miss road’ while the other is a decorous and refined global citizen surviving on contentment.”
Momodu further insinuated that efforts had been made to help Wike but were ultimately unsuccessful. “We thought we could be of help but we failed because some souls are irredeemable,” he wrote.
In a final remark that underscores the tension between both public figures, Momodu concluded, “Lesson: NO ONE HAS A MONOPOLY OF MADNESS.”
