Aaron Ramsey, 73, was charged with murdering his father, Edward Ramsey, in their Wilton home. He was found not guilty due to his insanity.

Aaron Ramsey Murder Case Timeline -What Happened To His Father Edward Ramsey?

Aaron Ramsey was charged with murder after telling police that he heard voices telling him his father, Edward Ramsey, had special abilities.

Edward was discovered inside a Wilton home at 125 Signal Hill Road. According to authorities, he died as a result of blunt force injuries.

In connection with his father’s death, Aaron has been charged with murder, first-degree attempted robbery, and third-degree burglary. He admitted to killing his father, according to investigators.

So, according to court documents, Ramsey claimed that officers went to his father’s room to question him and suspected he was lying.

According to court filings, he told officers that he heard voices telling him he needed to find “the fakers and manipulators” and “bring individuals on trial.”

After a brief exchange of words with his father, Aaron began beating Edward. Edward never retaliated.

According to the papers, when police arrived, Aaron was shrieking that someone was following him and was semiconscious, erratic, confused, and hyperventilating.

According to court documents, Aaron Ramsey told police at Norwalk Hospital that he killed his father just before attempting to break into his car on Cheese Spring Road, that he heard voices telling him that “aliens” were on their way to grab him, and that he went across the woods, “using his thoughts” to open a door and enter someone’s home.

Aaron was apprehended by police at his home.

Aaron Ramsey Trial Update

Aaron Ramsey of Wilton was sentenced to 50 years in the Whiting Forensic Facility by a three-judge panel for murdering his father, according to the clerk’s office of the Stamford Superior Court.

Ramsey was charged with the murder of his father, Edward, in their Wilton home in May 2012. He was found not guilty due to his insanity.

According to Judge Richard Comerford’s December ruling, “the state has demonstrated more than a reasonable suspicion that Mr. Ramsey caused the death of one Edward Ramsey.”

At the time of his father’s murder, he was suffering from cognitive dissonance and command hallucinations. At the time, the defendant was in a severe psychotic state.

Ramsey was also found not guilty of third-degree burglary and third-degree theft due to insanity.

He will serve his sentence at the Whiting Forensic Facility in Middletown.

Aaron Ramsey Family And Children

SueAnn Ramsey is Aaron Ramsey’s mother, but no other family members have been mentioned.

His marital status was not disclosed at the time of his arrest, but given that he was only 22 at the time, he appears to be single.

Nothing is known about his children because his marital status is unknown.
