Stephen Douglas Kerr, also known as Steve Kerr, is the head coach and former player of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association.

Considering his health, nothing bad happened to the coach, and his health is improving. Former NBA player Anthony Slater announced on Twitter that Steve has joined the health and safety processes and wished him well.

Basketball coach Steve Kerr was afflicted with COVID-19. Earlier in 2015, he had undergone a surgery that went wrong and caused injury to his spinel area and leaking.

The coach was sick for a long time after his botched operation. Steve is an eight-time NBA champion, having won five titles as a player, three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs.

He also won three titles with the Warriors as a head coach. Steve is the only NBA player to gain victory over four straight NBA titles after 1969. He has the highest career three-point field goal percentage of 45.4% in NBA history.

Kerr has held the NBA record for the highest three-point percentage in a season (52.4%) until the record was finally broken by Kyle Elliot Korver, American former professional basketball, in 2010.

In 2004, Steve was appointed as a minority owner of the Phoenix Suns, part of the group led by Robert Sarver, an American businessman that purchased the team in 2004.

Steve Kerr is not diagnosed with cancer; however, he tested positive for COVID-19 just two hours before Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals, with head coach Mike Brown into the head-coaching seat for the final three games.

Recently the Golden State Warriors coach Steve cleared health and safety protocols and rejoined the Warriors on Sunday as they start to prepare for the Western Conference finals.

The coach asked Brown on his way to Chase Center ahead of Game 4 on May 9, stating to Brown that he was feeling sick and that he might have to step in. Just 30 minutes later, Steve was tested COVID-19 positive.

Before taking a test, Kerr admitted to experiencing minor symptoms. A few internal symptoms prompted him to take a test. Steve stated, “I sensed that if I passed this on to the team, I’ll never forgive myself.”

Steve Kerr was not coaching because he tested positive for COVID-19 before Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals. However, the coach has rejoined the Warriors on Sunday, clearing health and safety protocols.

The coach explained that it was not easy to sit at home and watch. Moreover, the symptoms were also not bad at all, and it was just kind of his turn. He stated that his case was rather mild, and had a cough and some congestion.

Kerr received his first head coaching job in May 2014 with Golden State Warriors. Under his leadership, the team entered the most successful period in its history while competing in five consecutive NBA Finals and winning three Championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018.
