Dylan Brown, the son of John and Catherine Brown, was born on June 21, 2000. His parents have always been supportive of his rugby career.

He was born in Auckland but raised in Whangarei, New Zealand, and is of Samoan and Niuean descent.

He was a member of the Hikurangi Stags junior rugby league.

Brown moved to Sydney, Australia, at the age of 15, to pursue a career with the NRL’s Parramatta Eels. He went on after graduating from The Hills Sports High School.

Brown relocated to Sydney, Australia, at age 15 to play NRL football for the Parramatta Eels. Brown participated in S.G. ball and the Harold Matthews Cup for the Parramatta team. He guided the S.G. Ball Squad to the championship game in 2017. At 17, he later made his Eels debut in the under-20s Holden Cup team during the 2017 campaign. Later in the year, Brown was chosen to play for the Australian Schoolboys at five-eighth. However, he withdrew due to an injury.

Brown rose through the ranks, competing for the Eels in junior rep competitions before the Jersey Flegg competition, and made his NRL debut for the Eels in Round One of the 2019 season against the Panthers at 18. After missing the first few games of the season due to a back injury, Brown made a comeback in Round 15 to complete the 2019 campaign with 15 games.

Despite being only 21 years old, Brown has made an impression throughout his brief time playing in the NRL. Brown and Parramatta agreed to a three-year agreement in December 2019 that will last until 2023. He has won 22 of his 33 games played with The Eels, making him a clear favorite among the Blue and Gold supporters.
