Within three years, he was appointed President of NBC Entertainment, News, and Cable Group. He was president of NBC Universal Television Group beginning in May 2004, rising to CEO in December 2005.
After leaving NBC, he co-created and executive produced Katie, a syndicated daytime show starring journalist Katie Couric. He did, however, leave the show to become the head of CNN Worldwide in 2013.

Chris Cuomo was fired in early December after CNN revealed new information about his contentious involvement in advising his brother Andrew during a sexual harassment incident.
Gollust, on the other hand, appears to be keeping her job at CNN. They had also been close friends and professional partners for 20 years, according to her.
She also stated that their relationship evolved during the Covid and that they were incorrect in not disclosing their relationship.
