Jeff Zucker Net Worth 2022: How Rich Is The CNN Executive?

According to CelebrityNetWorth, Jeff Zucker is a billionaire with a net worth of $60 million. He formerly served as NBCUniversal’s president and CEO and recently resigned as the head of CNN Worldwide.

At the age of 26, he was named executive producer of Today in January 1992, making him the program’s youngest executive producer ever.

He had demonstrated his ability when the morning show Today rose to the top of the ratings under his direction. And it remained there for the duration of his presidency. Similarly, he was named President of NBC Entertainment in December 2000.

Within three years, he was appointed President of NBC Entertainment, News, and Cable Group. He was president of NBC Universal Television Group beginning in May 2004, rising to CEO in December 2005.

After leaving NBC, he co-created and executive produced Katie, a syndicated daytime show starring journalist Katie Couric. He did, however, leave the show to become the head of CNN Worldwide in 2013.

Let’s Explore The Salary and Career Earnings At The Time Of Resignation Of The Former Executive of CNN

Jeff Zucker did not reveal his salary and career earnings at the time of resignation. However, previously a source had disclosed his salary details when he was appointed as the president of NBC Universal in 2007.

The source claimed that the deal includes a $6.3 million yearly basic income, a $1.5 million guaranteed minimum annual bonus, plus additional substantial short- and long-term performance incentives.

The earning figure dates back to 2010. Many executives rarely get this huge deal at present times, and the media personality had been earning such an impressive income for more than a decade.

Although he has never revealed his income at CNN, we assume they may have offered him a higher salary than NBC.

Jeff Zuker Resigns Following Disclosure of An Affair

Jeff Zucker has resigned from his post at CNN after disclosing his affair with a senior executive in the company.

Moreover, in a note to staff, he claimed he should have acknowledged the affair with CNN executive Allison Gollust when asked about it during the network’s recent investigation into Chris Cuomo, a prime-time show host.

Chris Cuomo was fired in early December after CNN revealed new information about his contentious involvement in advising his brother Andrew during a sexual harassment incident.

Gollust, on the other hand, appears to be keeping her job at CNN. They had also been close friends and professional partners for 20 years, according to her.

She also stated that their relationship evolved during the Covid and that they were incorrect in not disclosing their relationship.
