Promising two-sport athlete Cody Fuller died at age 39 on Sunday from pancreatic cancer. Many people, including the fellow Texas Tech teams, are heartbroken and have shared condolence for the deceased family.
One of his teammates Sonny Cumbie, a fellow Tech quarterback, described him as a jolly person and an uplifter.
His beloved partner, Cassie, wrote an emotional tribute. She wrote, “Cody left behind his legacy in his kids, family, and those who knew him. He has touched everyone’s lives with his great sense of humor.”
Let us recall his early days. Fuller started his career as a center fielder on the Tech baseball squad and a wide receiver on Red Raiders football teams coached by Larry Hays and Mike Leach.
Later on, he played four consecutive years professionally in the minor leagues for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Now, Cody went to another part of the world peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 15, 2022. His wife, Cassie, confirmed the death news by tagging Cody Fuller Player’s group on Facebook.
