Putin claims Ukraine is a part of Russia and that the two countries are one. This has escalated because neither of them appears to be willing to sit down and talk, and the situation has devolved into a deadly war.

US Marine – Why Was Trevor Reed In Russia?
Trevor Reed was a normal man until the Summer of 2019 when he decided to travel to Russia for the purpose of learning the language. He was accompanied by his girlfriend and they were just having fun.
Little did the couple know that their lives were going to change forever for something they didn’t even do. In August of the same year, Reed was held by the authorities for alleged public intoxication.

Trevor Reed Arrested And Detained In Russia Why?
Trevor Reed was arrested initially in the August of 2019 for public intoxication. However, the case totally turned 360 degrees when he was accused of trying to harm the police officers as well.
Since the conviction, Reed has been sentenced to 9 years in prison out of which he has already served 2 years. He has been held in such a horrendous environment where there are not even basic health facilities for a human being.
After the war between Russia and Ukraine got the limelight, the USA has taken urgency towards Trevor’s case and Biden himself called his parents to address the situation. He added that he could understand the pain they were going through.

Trevor Reed Charges And Mugshots
Trevor Reed’s mugshots can be found all over the internet. People on Twitter and Reddit, in particular, have expressed sympathy for his situation and labeled Russia’s decision as unjust.
He was charged with public intoxication, but when they discovered he was a US Marine, his charges were upgraded, and he was accused of endangering the lives of police officers. Considering the lack of evidence in the case, even the judge laughed during his trial.
