Koshka is a research assistant at the University of Nottingham. She teaches political science.

Furthermore, the scholar has spent the last eight years fighting the Met Police. She was arrested in 2013 after attempting to advise a black teenager who was being arrested at the time to “know your rights.”

According to her story, Dr. Duff was then taken to the station and subjected to a strip search. It wasn’t just about the search, but also about how the officers materialized her and said “disgusting” and “dehumanizing” things to her because of her sexuality.

As she tells her story on BBC’s Woman’s Hour, the assistant professor says she had panic attacks for years after the incident.

Dr. Koshka Duff was arrested in November 2013 by the Metropolitan Police.

The University teacher was charged with assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer. She didn’t have to do any jail time but her marginal time in the station became a reason for her PTSD.

Due to this, she decided to take legal action against the Met Police. The case has been recently settled after 8 years. The Met Police reportedly compensated her and also apologized for their actions.
