Just a day after a much-anticipated meeting with King Charles, the Duke of Sussex chose to close his UK trip in an uplifting way. On Saturday, July 11, 2026, he dedicated time to Scotty’s Little Soldiers’ annual summer celebration at Maxstoke Castle, joining nearly 200 children who have lost military family members for a day filled with joy and remembrance.

Harry, a long-time supporter of the charity, took part in activities including goat yoga, games and a question-and-answer session with youngsters.

The appearance came shortly after he met his father, marking the pair’s first widely reported face-to-face meeting for some time following years of public tensions within the Royal family.
