On November 16, 2025, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, shared an insightful message encouraging people to embrace “change” and find beauty in it. This message was part of the latest installment in her Mother Nature series, a project dedicated to celebrating the wonders of the natural world.
In this particular episode, released to mark the arrival of autumn, the 43-year-old royal made a rare personal appearance. She engaged in an outdoor cooking session with a group of children, illustrating the joys of connecting with nature and each other during this transformative season.

Accompanying the film is a poignant voiceover by the princess, who recently underwent cancer treatment. She reflects on the importance of focusing on “what matters most” and the necessity of releasing “what is no longer needed.” Her words offer a powerful reminder to find purpose and meaning even as the seasons change.
She eloquently stated, “As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into autumn.” Through this imagery, the Princess of Wales beautifully encapsulates the essence of autumn as a time of reflection and renewal.
She said: “As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into autumn.
“This is a season for reflection and refinement. Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter, just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed.
“Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most. Encouraging us to simply to pay attention and listen.
“With the turning of the seasons, mother nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, impermanence and in letting go. These are the natural cycles of life.
“Whilst the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper, stronger. Let love be the root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope through change. Endure.”
The autumn video features Catherine, chef Gill Meller, and children from Farley Junior Academy in Luton, Bedfordshire, enjoying a cookout and bonfire in the Windsor Great Park estate.
The group of youngsters receive support at school from Go Beyond, a charity which offers access to nature and residential trips for young people living in difficult circumstances throught the UK.
The short film also features footage from other locations around the UK, including Long Meadow Cider and Mallon Farm in Northern Ireland, which Catherine and her husband Prince William visited last month.
The clip was captioned on Instagram: “Autumn – a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest. C.(sic)”
