Mexican brand CHARLY has unveiled its 2025 Heritage Collection, a stylish homage to both the country’s rich footballing history and its broader cultural roots.

The capsule features four football-style jerseys paired with matching caps, each brimming with symbolism.

The first shirt arrives in green with red and white trim, an unmistakable nod to the Mexican flag and the national team’s kits. A sleek black-and-gold design and a crisp white-and-wine-red jersey recall Mexico’s classic away kits, while the warm wine-and-gold shirt harkens back to the era before El Tri switched to green home kits in the late 1950s.

All four feature a prominent Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent deity of Aztec mythology, and a subtle Aztec-style motif running down the front three stripes – a nod to Mexico’s ancient history.

Completing the design, “MEXICO” is printed boldly on the back, driving home the message of cultural pride.

CHARLY’s Sports Marketing Director, Mauricio Rodríguez Vallejo, explained: “We wanted to share the rich culture of Mexico beyond the stereotypical depictions in hopes it will resonate with Mexicans, Mexican Americans, and those deeply entrenched in football culture.”

Available now via select US retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Heritage Collection certainly achieves that mission.
