Curtis Campher produced a stunning display of power-hitting to keep Ireland’s World Cup hopes alive as they beat Scotland by six wickets on Wednesday.
Scotland looked to have put themselves in a strong position after winning the toss and electing to bat as opener Michael Jones hit 86 from 55 balls to help them post 176-5.

They then reduced Ireland to 61-4, but a remarkable partnership between George Dockrell and Campher turned the game. Campher finished on an unbeaten 72 off 32 balls to see Ireland home with eight balls to spare.
