West Ham manager David Moyes admits there is a good chance Declan Rice will leave the club this summer.

The England midfielder has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs amid yet another outstanding season.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Man United are all thought to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Moyes has previously claimed it will take a bid north of £100million to prise Rice away from the London Stadium.

And now the Hammers boss admits he is already planning for life after his superstar captain.

“We honestly hope he stays,” Moyes said on Friday.

“We’d love for him to be a West Ham player but we are aware that might not be the case at the end of the season.

“So that’s one of the scenarios around plans. There are plans that we have Dec here but we’re also fully aware there is a good chance we won’t have him.”

Moyes’ comments will put Rice’s admirers on red alert with the summer transfer window set to open next month.

The Englishman’s future has been the source of constant speculation this season and Rangers legend Ally McCoist was recently discussing where he would fit best.

“If he was staying on these shores, I’d be really concerned about going to Manchester United at this moment in time,” McCoist told talkSPORT.

“I think they’ve done really well, however the last few weeks have set alarm bells ringing in my head as they’re further away than I initially thought, so I’m not sure about going there.

“Liverpool’s midfield is crying out for Declan Rice, Chelsea have got an excellent midfield but I don’t know if they’re going to spend that kind of money after wasting the best part of half a billion and finishing 12th or 13th, that’s not great.

“I’ve got to be brutally honest – if you could swap Granit Xhaka for Declan Rice, never mind ‘I feel a bit this’, or ‘I feel a bit that’, if you’re an Arsenal fan that’s the move of the season!”
