Dele Alli has paid a jeweller £6,000 after the former England international was furiously called out over allegedly failing to initially stump up the cash.

Ard Adz, a rapper turned jeweller who claims he was recently released from prison, aired his grievances in a video posted on his Instagram on Friday morning.

According to messages between him and Alli posted and deleted later in the day, Adz was owed payment over a bracelet bought by the footballer in the Hatton Garden area of central London.

‘Alli, what you doing? I thought you were on the right wing, left wing, I can’t see you brother. My £6,000, please!’

But on Friday afternoon, Adz revealed that Alli had paid the fee in full as he posted an update on his Instagram story.

Sharing messages said to be between him and the 29-year-old , Adz wrote on Instagram: ‘Update: Dele has now paid, allow him now guys & thanks for making him pay. Internet is undefeated.’

The dispute comes after Alli, once a high-flier in the Premier League, had his contract ripped up by Serie A side Como.

He had only joined the club in January but made just one appearance in which he was sent off 10 minutes after coming off the bench.

Manager Cesc Fabregas made it clear than Alli was not a part of his plans for the 2025-26 campaign, thereby leaving him as a free agent and without a club.

A club statement read: ‘Como and Dele Alli have agreed to a mutual termination of his contract.

‘Dele is keen to secure regular playing opportunities and, as he was not part of the club’s immediate plans, both parties felt it was the right decision to part ways ahead of the transfer window closing.

‘The club thanks Dele for his time at Como and wishes him the very best for the future.’

Alli signed an initial 18-month contract in January with the option of a further year following his release from Everton last summer.

His debut came in March and was his first professional game of football since February 2023.

He was shown a red card shortly after coming on for a rough challenge on AC Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The incident sparked a furious reaction from Como boss Fabregas and marked a turning point in Dele’s brief Italian adventure.

He has since fallen out of favour and, despite returning to training after injury, was not been included in Fabregas’ first-team plans for the 2025–26 season.

The attacking midfielder, who once scored 22 goals in a season for Tottenham, is now said to be considering retirement.

Alli burst on to the scene at MK Dons before earning his big move to Spurs in 2015, where he shone under Mauricio Pochettino.

He enjoyed a remarkable 2016–17 season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions and establishing himself as one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe.

The Englishman later played a key role in Tottenham’s run to the Champions League final in 2019 and earned 37 caps for England, including appearances at the 2018 World Cup.

But a string of injuries, loss of form and off-field struggles derailed his rise.

His spell at Everton yielded little, and a loan move to Turkish side Besiktas in 2022 also ended without success after a serious groin injury sidelined him for almost a year.
