Michael Phelps Olympic Medals 

Phelps is the most decorated Olympic athlete of all times. He is not a great of the modern era but across the generations. He first qualified and participated in the 200o Sydney Olympics at the age of 15. He did not win a medal , but showed clear glimpses of the future champion. A dominant force in the 1970s, Spitz won seven gold medals at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, breaking the record for most gold medals won by a single athlete at a single Games.

Mark Spitz Olympic Medals 

Mark Spitz won seven gold medals in the 1972 Munich Olympics, this was the highest medals in a single Olympic before it was broken by his countryman Michael Phelps winning 8 golds in Beijing. Spitz participated in two Olympics 1968 in Mexico City and 1972 Munich Olympics after which he retired. He was only 22 years old then.
