Craven Cottage saw its fair share of drama during the 2024/25 Premier League season—most notably Fulham’s thrilling 3-2 victory over eventual champions Liverpool and a memorable win against FA Cup winners Newcastle United.

But perhaps the most unexpected showdown came off the pitch, deep inside the club’s dressing room.

In a moment that’s since gone viral on social media, Fulham teammates Adama Traoré and Calvin Bassey were caught engaging in a playful yet intense wrestling match, much to the amusement of their teammates.

The footage shows the two muscle-bound stars squaring off, surrounded by the likes of Kenny Tete and Emile Smith-Rowe. In the first round, Traoré—known for his freakish strength and famously oiled-up arms—managed to pin Bassey to the floor, despite the Nigerian defender’s attempts to hold his ground (in flip-flops, no less).

Not ready to accept defeat, Bassey changed his footwear and demanded a rematch, joking it would make all the difference. But it didn’t. Traoré once again got the better of him, slamming him down as Alex Iwobi, filming the whole thing, laughed uncontrollably.

Speaking to The Sun, Iwobi summed it up best: “I don’t see anyone defeating Adama Traoré. That guy is brick. He’s just dumbbells with legs. He’s too strong. He’s too, too strong.”

While Bassey may need to recover from the hit to his pride, Traoré can enjoy bragging rights as Fulham’s undisputed locker room champion—though manager Marco Silva might have had a word about the potential injury risk.
