On Tuesday night, Woods, 38, took to Instagram to address the incident that unfolded at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium, several hours after it happened.
The well-known broadcaster reassured everyone that she was feeling ‘OK’ thanks to the medical team’s care.
“I’m really embarrassed that it happened on air, but I’m incredibly grateful to my ITV colleagues for their support tonight,” she expressed.
“A special thanks to Wrighty and Neets for catching me, and I apologize once more,” she added.

The cameras quickly cut away, though audio briefly continued, capturing Wright checking on Woods before the programme switched to an ad break.
Former Arsenal and England striker Wright, 62, could be heard saying, ‘Are you OK?’
Katie Shanahan stepped in to continue ITV’s coverage alongside Wright and Asante following the incident. Shanahan said that Woods had been ‘taken ill’.
‘As you have probably noticed we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods because she’s just been taken ill but she’s in very good hands so I’m stepping in at late notice,’ Shanahan said.
Woods’s fiancé Adam Collard, 30, had earlier said on X: ‘Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.’
TNT Sports wrote: ‘Everyone at TNT Sports would like to send Laura Woods our very best wishes.
‘Get well soon, Woodsy.’
