The newly leaked design, showcased by Footy Headlines, reveals adidas’s commitment to nostalgia, drawing a clear line to the kit donned by West Germany during their triumphant 1990 World Cup campaign.
The design stays true to tradition with its predominantly white fabric, complemented by the iconic black adidas stripes on the shoulders and intricate red-and-black trims at the cuffs. The centerpiece of this homage is a bold, flag-inspired motif: a series of black, red, and yellow stripes elegantly cascade diagonally from each shoulder, converging into a striking V-shaped diamond pattern on the chest.
This design choice is a deliberate salute to the original 1990 World Cup kit, famous for its off-center stripe arrangement. However, this modern iteration opts for a central alignment, giving it a fresh yet nostalgically familiar appeal.
