Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley were rivals when they first met on the floor, but their camaraderie on the sidelines grew stronger. However, given the two’s ongoing conflict, their equation appears to be broken. Both Hall of Famers were selected in the same 1984 draft class. In the NBA’s 1980s and 1990s, Jordan and Barkley initially competed against one another for the top slot.

Michael Jordan has never addressed his beef with Charles Barkley. On the other hand, Charles Barkley has spoken about this on several occasions. The most recent being to Taylor Rooks for Bleacher Report. Barkley said, “I had no problem saying it because it was the truth. … we haven’t spoken since.”. Reportedly, Barkley and Michael Jordan have not spoken in 10 years.

Why are Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley beefing?

It’s rumored that Barkley’s criticism of Michael Jordan’s administration of his team, the Charlotte Hornets, started the conflict. The accusation made by Barkley that Michael Jordan surrounded himself with people who never opposed him could be another explanation. Barkley said this in an interview for ESPN. He made the implication that Jordan has a lot of “Yes-Men” buddies.

Charles Barkley has presented all of these arguments in his interviews, but Jordan’s perspective has yet to be heard. Charles Barkley and Jordan were once teammates and golf partners. Therefore, it is heartbreaking to learn that they are no longer friends.

Charles Barkley and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan may not be friends anymore, but Barkley is still distraught about it.

Both of these stars crossed each other’s paths at the NBA 75 Anniversary gathering. It is reported that Michael Jordan completely ignored Chuck and did not even greet him. Charles Oakley, another 80’s legend, was present there and made a comment about the situation as one with Jordan’s buddies.

Oakley said, “He can never get back in Jordan’s inner circle. No matter what he does. He does jumping jacks and push-ups. Can’t get back into the family. He out.

The Phoenix Suns star said, “That was very heartbreaking for me because Michael was my best friend, and he got offended by something I said, and uh, it was heartbreaking. I went from being a guy’s best friend.”
