The Phoenix Suns will welcome the defending champions, Golden State Warriors to the Footprint Center for an NBA game on Tuesday. The Suns won their last game 112-95 over the LA Clippers. Devin Booker top scored for the Suns with 35 points while Deandre Ayton dropped 13 points and recorded 8 rebounds.

However, the talking point was Chris Paul. CP3 made history in familiar surroundings by becoming only the third player to have 11 thousand assists. Paul now joins John Stockton and Jason Kidd as the only players in history with so many assists. After the game, CP3 said, “I’ve been fortunate to play for a while now with a lot of great shooters, great players in general. I’m privileged.”

The Golden State Warriors on the other hand beat the Sacramento Kings 130-125 in their last game. Stephen Curry was one again the top scorer with 33 points. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole added 24 points each with the latter coming off the bench. Poole also dished out 4 assists while Wiggins recorded 5 rebounds.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr spoke after the game and said, “We played at times brilliantly and we couldn’t sustain it. It was closer than it should have been, but I give Sacramento a lot of credit. Mike’s doing a great job with those guys. They’re fighting, they’re competing. They’ve had three close losses now to start the year. We let our guard down and they took advantage of it.”
