The Seattle Kraken will welcome the St Louis Blues to the Climate Pledge Arena for an NHL game on Wednesday. Seattle lost their last game against the Carolina Hurricanes 5-1 with Andre Burakovsky scoring the lone goal. Goaltender Philip Grubauer finished the game with a save percentage of .853 after he saved 29 of the 34 shots that he faced.
Seattle head coach Dave Hakstol said after the game, “You’re playing with fire when you put these guys on the power play that often and you know it came back to get us on their second goal.”
On the other hand, the St Louis Blues defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2 in their last game. A brace from Vladimir Tarasenko and a goal each from Pavel Buchnevich, Ivan Barbashev and Jake Neighbours ensured that St Louis ran out as winners in what was a comfortable game.
After the game, Neighbours, who scored a goal, said that not playing a game for a few days felt weird. Speaking to the press, Neighbours said, “From a team standpoint, sitting and watching the league starting to play the last couple days and us not having a game was a little bit weird. We were excited and antsy.”
