It’s a challenging moment to be a Pokemon anime fan. Despite the fact that Ash Ketchum’s trip will come to an end in the upcoming months, the series’ most recent episodes have served as a look back at Ash’s journey. Even with seeing some of his most recognisable Pokémon, including Squirtle and Butterfree, Ash also ran into some old pals. Fans of the Pokemon anime may feel nostalgic for the show’s funniest characters and moments after seeing some of Ash’s best friends return to the series. There are simply too many amazing moments to pick just one, but these five encounters Ash has had with people and Pokemon are among the funniest and most unforgettable. Pokemon: The 5 Funniest Anime Characters.

5. Mallow

Pokemon the Series: Sun & Moon was very dissimilar from any previous season in the franchise. Instead of traversing the Alola region battling gyms, Ash decides to enrol in Pokemon School and becomes friends with a number of his classmates. Each of them has a decent opportunity to shine, but only a select handful can captivate the audience like Mallow, the expert Grass-type Pokemon. Mallow is not just the funniest person in Ash’s class but also the most encouraging and upbeat. She frequently finds herself in odd circumstances as a result of her seemingly boundless energy and impulsive behaviour. Mallow, though, is one of Ash’s funniest friends because despite going through her own tragedy relating to her mother, she still manages to be such a positive energy.

4. Serena

Serena enjoys the distinction of being one of Ash Ketchum’s most fascinating friends because she was the Pokemon Trainer’s pal as a young child. Her quest to become a Pokemon Performer is of incredible importance to her own self-worth and pride, making her journey one of Ash’s companions with the most emotional ups and downs. Serena is outgoing, though, and she frequently cracks jokes while travelling with Ash. She demonstrates a rebellious tendency towards her family and her friends, but her hidden romantic affections for Ash are the target of laughs in the early episodes. Serena’s phobia of Ghost and Psychic Pokemon also frequently brings humour to the group’s more terrifying encounters.

3. Brock

One of Ash’s most recognisable travelling companions, Brock has been with him in four different regions. Also, the two have met up countless times as Ash has travelled through places like Alola and Galar. Brock is one of Ash’s silliest pals throughout the anime series, despite the fact that he portrays himself as a helpful friend and aspiring Pokémon doctor. Brock frequently loses any sense of maturity and wisdom when he encounters a female character. When Brock is travelling with someone like Misty, who isn’t afraid to call him out, he frequently gets into difficulty because of his pursuit of people like Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. Brock’s amorous interests are at least less sinister than they are sinister.

2. Meowth

One of the rare Pokémon in the anime series who can communicate fluently is Meowth, who makes up one-third of the Team Rocket trio. He frequently provides the team’s comic relief by getting into arguments with his colleagues just as frequently as he does with Ash and his buddies. But he frequently demonstrates that he will stop at nothing to please Giovanni, his employer. Meowth frequently has the funniest moments as he tries to blend in with humans. Meowth frequently accompanies Jessie and James of Team Rocket in their many disguises, yet he always stands out the most. He is, however, unquestionably the wittiest and smartest Pokemon in the anime series.

1. Ash’s Pikachu

Pikachu has had numerous chances to make spectators laugh because he is a Pokemon that has been as present in the anime series as Ash Ketchum. The Pokemon and his Trainer initially had a tense relationship, but they soon grew close and became a formidable team. Yet Pikachu’s personality has always been his best asset. One of Pikachu’s most distinctive traits is his capacity to imitate others, which makes use of the animated element of the anime. Pikachu, the most determined and frequently overeager Pokemon in the series, best captures Ash’s personality. Pikachu occasionally electrocuting Ash never gets old, though.
