Phase one of the Pro Kabaddi League got underway on October 7, 2022, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. Season nine of the league will be played in three phases. Pune’s Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex and Hyderabad are the venues where the second and third phases will be staged. Dabang Delhi defeated Patna Pirates in the season 8 PKL final to win the championship the previous season with a thrilling 37-36 victory.
Puneri Paltan will face the present table toppers Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first game on October 25, 2022. The Paltan played their last game against Bengal Warriors and clinched a 27-25 victory in a low-scoring affair. On the other hand, Jaipur moved to the top of the table through a dominant victory over Telugu Titans by 51-27. The Paltan are placed fifth in the team standings with three wins and two losses.
