Raphael Guerreiro will become Thomas Tuchel’s first signing as Bayern Munich manager as the Bundesliga winners plan a massive summer rebuild under the head coach.
The Portuguese left back will undergo a medical at Bayern next week, according to Fabrizio Romano, ahead of completing a free transfer to the club.
Guerreiro announced last month that he would leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of his contract, with the 29-year-old now set to switch to their rivals.
‘After seven amazing years, it’s time for me to say good bye to you all with a lot of sadness,’ Guerreiro said.
‘The memories I made here taught me a lot on myself on the pitch but also helped me a lot knowing what I really love in football.

The Portuguese international missed out on the title on the final day of the season to Bayern
‘I have always been myself while learning and improving here and I will never forget the love I got from the fans and my team mates during these seven years. I had the chance to play with some fantastic players.’
Guerreiro played 224 times for Dortmund and scored 40 goals for the club, with the Portuguese international having played at left back, left wing and central midfield for the club.

Dortmund had suffered heartbreak on the final day of the season, missing out on the title to Bayern after a costly drawing against Mainz.
He is set to be reunited with former Dortmund boss Tuchel and will offer a versatile option for the Bayern head coach as he oversees a summer rebuild.
Guerreiro’s arrival follows Bayern’s decision not to pursue a permanent move for Joao Cancelo following his loan from Man City.
Tuchel has reportedly included Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane on a seven-man transfer list as he seeks a squad overhaul this summer.
Declan Rice and Harry Kane have both been targeted by the German champions as potential incomings this summer.
Tuchel has been a long-term admirer of Rice and believes the 24-year-old has all the attributes to be a success in the Bundesliga.

Bayern have been linked with a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane amid a summer rebuild
But Mail Sport has learned that Rice prefers to continue playing in England’s top-flight next season, with Arsenal poised to make an opening offer of £90m.
Bayern are still reportedly hopeful that Kane can be persuaded to come to the Allianz Arena.
With his contract expiring in the summer of 2024, this summer could be the last chance for Spurs to get a fee for Kane.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have also been heavily linked with a move for England and Tottenham’s record goalscorer.
