Riot Games announced a list of special guests who will be co-streaming the League of Legends World Championship to their viewers for the first time ever. Riot said it is pleased to announce guests who will be streaming live on-site at the Chase Center, San Francisco, Calif. Notably, these watch parties will be available when the Grand Finals begin after the Worlds 2022 Opening Ceremony on November 5.
Especially, Riot games chose five streamers in four different languages to co-stream the T1 vs DRX for Grand Final match in league of legends game. However, as soon as it was announced, most of the community called out Riot Games for their choice of co-streamers. Riot Games said in their official press release, “This year, we’re testing some exciting new ways for our fans to get in on the Worlds action with some of their favorite streamers and content creators. An exclusive World Finals official. Join the following streamers on November 5th for the Watch Party, streamed live from the streaming set-up located at the Chase Center!”

Personalities Criticize In League of legends :
League of Legends European Championship (LEC) talent, streamer and ex-pro player Mark “Cadarle” Lamont has spoken openly about Riot Games’ move and called it disappointing. As great as it is giving to the bigwigs, this league is a big slap on the face to the content creators who are co-streaming it all year long and are really passionate about the league’s esports scene. Similarly, pro player Eric “Treatz” Wesson wrote, “Surely the people who have been co-streaming every game for an entire year should get these kinds of privileges before some of the guys on this list?” Additionally, Mackayla, widely known in the community, also criticized Riot Games. She commented, “Hiring Coinno is honestly extremely disappointing and disrespectful to the people who primarily stream the league on a daily basis.I think your goal is audience numbers and the ability to expand your audience, but you already have Lil Nas for that. Very strange choice in general.
Coinno reacted to the outrage during his stream on November 1, where he described how he had been delivered by Riot Games. “I didn’t know it was some kind of big deal in this grand final. I think it’s a big deal for a lot of other people,” he said.
He acknowledged the issue and classified people into three buckets:
- Peoples who are mad at League of legends in Riot game
- Who are usually mean
- People wanted to stream it themselves but failed to explain that
Sykkuno said that he is a simple fan of League of Legends and that he is doing it for free. Notably, Sykkuno is one of those content creators who has been playing the game since its early days and has a huge fanbase. Stating that streamers and former pro players including Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, William “Meteos” Hartmann, and Nick “LS” de Cesare are commenting live on games without showing the official stream.
