The Premier League is set to welcome a new mega-money superstar, with Florian Wirtz about to become the most expensive signing in history.
talkSPORT understands that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a total fee of £116million for Wirtz and that will see him set a new British transfer record this summer.

Chelsea currently still hold the record after signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton for £115million in August 2023.
The Blues also have the second-highest ever transfer fee following their signing of World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106.5million on deadline day of the 2022/23 January window.
Meanwhile, Manchester United had a long history of being the leading spenders in England and former star man Paul Pogba had previously been the top-flight’s priciest player.
However, that all changed in the summer of 2021 when Manchester City bought Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
Man City did hold the record after spending £100million on England maestro Grealish, but now that deal has slipped down the list.
Arsenal’s £105million signing of Declan Rice makes him the most expensive British player of all time, although he still sits behind the Chelsea duo in the history books.
So, Wirtz will top this list once his move goes through, but who makes up the current top ten?
Here, talkSPORT.com looks at who has cost the most in English top-flight history.
