The weekend has been a whirlwind of FA Cup events, with the standout shocker being National League’s Macclesfield ousting defending champions Crystal Palace yesterday!

Now, all eyes turn to Old Trafford, and it’s no secret that Manchester United has had quite the eventful week.

Ruben Amorim was dismissed on Monday, and Darren Fletcher, the Under 18s head coach, stepped in for a tense Premier League draw against Burnley on Wednesday. The club is still in search of a leader to steer the team for the rest of the season and beyond.

Manchester United could certainly use a strong run in this tournament to boost morale, especially since they’re out of the Carabao Cup following a defeat to Grimsby.

Brighton certainly aren’t going to make their lives easy this afternoon. Fabian Hurzeler’s side are well-drilled and looked impressive in their Premier League draw Manchester City during the week.
