Tim Tszyu’s wife, Alexandra, has lifted the lid on one of the most ‘traumatising’ periods of her life admitting that there were periods during 2024 where she had been left feeling ‘traumatised’.

It was a difficult year for Tszyu inside the ring, with the Aussie sensation’s winning streak coming to an end after he lost the first fight of his career, a split-decision defeat by Sebastian Fundora in March.

He returned to the ring in October where he was again beaten by Bakhram Murtazaliev, being knocked down four times before suffering a technical knockout defeat in Orlando.

‘2024, where to start,’ she said during the video clip.

‘Tim packed out one of the biggest stadiums in boxing history,’ she added, looking back on his defeat by Fundora at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Reflectin on her 2024, Alexandra posted several videos and pictures of her and her new husband Tim Tszyu

She spoke on the highs and lows the pair have been through this year, with Tszyu losing two fights in 2024

Tim Tszyu’s wife, Alexandra, has opened up on one of the most ‘devastating and traumatising times of my life’

‘And although he lost by split decision, it was one of the most devastating and traumatising times of my life.’

The video showcases Tsyu in the ring and posing for a picture with his family and team outside the Sphere in Las Vegas, before heading off on holiday with Alexandra.

‘We went to Hawaii after to heal, Tim got his stitches out and although I looked happy on the outside, I was so, so traumatised,’ she added.

‘With the lows, there are also highs like living out your childhood dreams.

‘So Tim bought some really fancy watches and we packed our bags and headed to Thailand for a training camp.’

During the video, she showcased several fancy watches that she and her husband had bought, with Alexandra sporting a golden watch that was sparkling with diamonds.

‘I did a lot of spinning elbows and to be honest, in 2024 Tim and I spent 10 months apart.

‘It was really, really depressing.’

Tszyu has previously opened up on how the pair had wanted to move to America after Tsyu had faced Murtazaliev and had been scoping out properties in Las Vegas.

Alexandra also revealed the pair had thought about moving to Dubai.

‘But you know what, I travelled the world.

‘I went to Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai. We were thinking of moving there. I checked out the address on the Palm and realised it wasn’t for me.

‘We tried again in Orlando but it didn’t work out and we thought, you know what, stuff it, let’s get married and it was the best day of our lives.’

The pair tied the knot two years ago in a stunning ceremony in Sydney’s east in front of 120 guests.

The pair, who have been together for eight years stunned, with Alexandra wearing a beautiful designer dress designed by Steve Khalil.

The pair were married earlier in December in front of 120 guests, in what was a stunning wedding reception in Sydney

Tszyu first met Alexandra, who is fluent in English, French and Macedonian, at a boxing class in Rockdale back in 2016 and it was love at first sight for the pair.

Alexandra has been at his side ever since but has previously spoken about how getting married was less stressful than watching one of her husband’s fights.

‘In terms of vibes and nerves, a wedding is a walk in the park compared to a fight,’ Alexandra told News Corp.

‘Give me a wedding any day. We’ve actually planned it in a really short time – around six weeks, which is unheard of.

‘Tim’s weight cut is usually longer than six weeks, so we’re doing well.

‘We have about 120 guests, keeping it small and beautiful.

‘We’ve also managed to secure a really special location for our shoot, which has never been done before, but you’ll have to wait to find out.’
