On Sunday, society stylist Olivia Buckingham had double the reason to celebrate as she shared the news of her pregnancy on her 43rd birthday.
Originally from Hong Kong, the British socialite is renowned for her work with notable clients such as Princess Beatrice, Poppy Delevingne, and Carey Mulligan. She delighted fans with her announcement and expressed her joy at the new journey ahead, saying she’s thrilled about it being “just the two of us.”
In a heartfelt post, she described the news as “the best birthday gift I could ever dream of” and expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to embark on this new chapter with a baby on the way. However, she kept additional details about her pregnancy under wraps.
She added in the caption: ‘It’s never too late [to] live the life of your dreams. #JustTheTwoOfUs #AnotherYearAroundTheSun.’
Buckingham shared the joyous news while donning a flowing cream tulle dress priced at £2,105 from the brand Temily, where she is the creative director.
The boho-inspired gown is the same one she styled for Poppy Delevingne during last year’s BAFTAs, where Delevingne wore the dress in a soft pink hue while expecting her own child.
Buckingham’s followers flooded the comment section with well-wishes, including Beatrice’s husband, Edo Mapelli Mozzi, who shared love heart face emojis.
The stylist, who counts Kate Moss as a close friend, spent her early childhood in Hong Kong before relocating to the UK and attending Heathfield School in Ascot.

In addition to working as a contributing magazine editor at Vogue and Tatler, Buckingham is credited with Princess Beatrice’s style makeover back in 2023.
At the time, Beatrice started to receive wider praise for her ensembles after being mocked for her mismatched looks and garish fascinators.
But with the help of Buckingham, Beatrice underwent a transformation, trading her awkward looks for sleek dresses and designer gear.
After marrying Edo, Beatrice adopted a much more refined approach to sartorial choices, with Vampire’s Wife, Self Portrait, Monique Lhuillier and Emilia Wickstead among her go-to designers.
‘I like to push my clients’ boundaries but also stick to their authentic codes,’ Olivia said.
‘I don’t want it to be one-sided, what I enjoy is giving them creative freedom, then we meet in the middle and come up with a magical look.’
Buckingham explained that she and Beatrice formed a styling relationship out of friendship.
‘The whole process is collaborative when it comes down to choosing the final look,’ she said.

‘We discuss the event and what type of style would work even down to the finer details like jewellery and shoes.
‘I know that we both believe that if a woman can feel empowered and confident by clothes then that’s what they should be used for.’
Buckingham has also helped the princess widen her horizons by adding couture to the mix, as seen at the 2023 Jordanian royal wedding, when she wore a floor-length Reem Acra.
Meanwhile, Beatrice has shelved the unusual colours and quirky headpieces, which all-too-often had a touch of the pantomime dame about them, for a more streamlined approach.
