“You defended national flag with dignity” –  Sadio Mane hails Senegalese teammates after World Cup exit

Senegal and Bayern Munich star player, Sadio Mane has taken to his Instagram page to praise his teammates from Senegal despite exiting the FIFA World Cup competition on Sunday.

The Lions of Teranga faced England in a Round-of-16 match. However, they were defected 3-0 which brought an end to their journey in the competition.

But Mane who missed the competition due to injury was happy with the teams’ performance and said; “Dear brothers, the people are very proud of your journey and you have put the balm in the hearts of Senegalese and all supporters by defending the national flag with dignity,” Mane wrote.

“Continue learning and good luck. We will go in search of more trophies Inshallah.”
